loop 0 is OFFLINE

I have an E3500 that is fully populated with 8 disk drives and has a
single path to each drive. I have installed the OS Solaris 9, applied
latest patch set, and rebooted fine, but then went to mirror the root
partition and after rebooting I received the following error:

loop 0 is OFFLINE

And the system will not boot. Any ideas on what is happening here?
