help on raid

Hi

   I am having one E220 server connected to A1000
storage box and veritas volume manager installed on it
its having hardware raid and configured as raid 5
I want to add a new disk to storage box

for this whether i should break the raid and
configured again
OR
i simply configure with veritas volume manager only

expecting HELP
