HDS 9970 vs EMC DMX800???

Hello,

Now that I have posting capability, I have several questions.

Since we purchased our EMC Clariion CX600 in December, 2002, it has
created a MANY HEARTACHES for my company and I.
I think we purchased one of the first units rolling off the
production line because many other users are telling me they don't have
any problems with their Clariions. So, after MANY pain-staking problems,
we are in the process of thinking about replacing it with an HDS 9970.
Or, at least moving all of the Solaris / HPUX platforms to it. For Some
reason, the NT systems seem to work fine. So, we are trying to decide
which would be better for the company, the HDS 9970 or EMC DMX800. We
are currently leaning real hard to the 9970 because of EMC's intolerance
and arrogance with troubled hardware.
I am posting this message because I would like to see what people
are using (of the two) and what thier satisfaction level is with their
product. So, could you please provide some input for us?

If you need to know what our current confguration is:

    CX600 (with 120 x 73GB disks)
    Connectrix ED-64M Fabric Switch (McData)
Each Solaris server has two Emulex 9002 HBAs. One-to-One zoning of
HBA to SP. (ie. HBA0 to SPA, HBA1 to SPB)
We have 9 Win2K hosts (single HBA), 16 Solaris hosts (mainly 2.8
with a few 2.6), and 2 HPUX 11.0 hosts
On the Solaris Servers we are using Veritas Foundation Suite 3.5MP2
to perform our fail-over & volume management

The different types of Sun hardware onsite is:

    U5, U60, Blade 1500, E3500, E4500, E420R, E250, E450, V240, V1280, etc.

Thanks for your Input,
Richard Cross
