Hello managers I have system which has.
qpopper 4.0.5 sendmail 8.11.X
which is configured with pop before smtp, this is a inherited system.
which the documentation of how was this setup does not exist.
the probelm is as following.
the users all have quotas enabled in their homes and in mail, ok ?
when they use their pop3 clients, a copy of the mail is made in the same
filesystem and the double of space is needed to contain it, ok ?
this makes that only they can use 50% or less of the space they have in
quota, cause the system does not allow to allocate more space to that
user.
the lock file is a .user.pop one for each user, I can make link to
another filesystem but when the pop3 clients finishes it removes the
link
Adding more quota won't solve it, cause the more mail they get , more
they need to make the copy to the pop3 server, ok ?
I can't change the pop before smtp to smtp-auth. for some libraries
incompatiblities.
any help is aprecciatted.!
