FSCK terminating during phase 3

Gurus,

Root disk crashed in E3500 and hence was struggling to mount back
the metadevice volume.

I should thank Mr.Alan who guided me to get back the volume.
I will summarize later.

Now the problem is metastat is showing the volume and condition is also
is ok(state ok).

but when i mount it it is asking to run FSCK. when i do FSCK
it is stopping at phase3.

I am able to mount the metadevice as read only but see some
data is missing.

I think if fsck completes successfully I can mount it r/w and
can see all the data.

please help me out. can I use FSDB command first and then fsck.
please urgent. waiting for your inputs.
