Blocked process mystery

Hi all,

We are running Oracle 9i on a 6800 with Solaris 8 02/02 with 117350-01 KJP.
We are using Veritas DB Edition for Oracle 3.5 (113216-01) with Oracle Disk
Manager (ODM). We frequently see vmstat show between 10 and 30 processes in
the "b" column. CPU usage is under 100%, and iostat shows no "%w" or "wait"
and "asvc_t" under 30ms. We are trying to figure out what is causing these
processes to be blocked. If not CPU or IO bottlenecks, could it be network?
What else could it be?
