Hi everyone,

In case you're using my modified scsiinfo, there's a new version available:

http://step.polymtl.ca/~coyote/scsiinfo-4.7.0.15.tar.gz
http://step.polymtl.ca/~coyote/scsiinfo-4.7.0.15.tar.gz.md5 (md5 file)

MD5 Replicated here:
76991246a0dd4d1846483f1fb290993f scsiinfo-4.7.0.15.tar.gz

* What is this scsiinfo-4.7.0.x stuff?
This modified scsiinfo is based on John Di Marco's scsiinfo, version 4.7. It's
not a fork of scsiinfo and I'm still hoping that one day my changes will be
accepted into the main distribution. In short, this version is 'tolerated' but
not 'official'.

* NO Warranties.
No warranty is provided. It works for me and others on many systems (SF15K
domains with SAN, F6800's with SAN, V880's, SB2000's, sb100's, etc..) but
YMMV. Also, since it was not possible to use self-sufficient header files
from SUN, some reverse engineering had to take place and therefore
everything included in this scsiinfo is subject to change. You've been
warned.

* What's new in this release:
- Fixes to qlc support (Cosmetic cleanup needed in SFK 4.4.1 and above).
- Fix to qus support (Now prints out correct Sync negociation speed).
- Adds mpt (LSI 53C1030) SCSI RAID support. The 53C1030 (mpt) adapter
is found in the V440's (probably others).

* What's included in this release:

- Full (modified) source based on John Di Marco's source.

- SunOS 5.8 sparc (64bit) binary:
# ./scsiinfo-4.7.0.15-SunOS5.8-sun4u-sparcv9-64bits.bin -V
scsiinfo ver 4.7.0.15 $Id: patchlevel.h,v 1.10 2004/10/19 09:59:21 root Exp $
Compiled for SunOS 5.8: ESP PTISP ISP FAS GLM PLN QUS MPT QLC 64BIT NOTCH
FORMAT

- SunOS 5.9 sparc (64bit) binary (NEW):
# ./scsiinfo-4.7.0.15-SunOS5.9-sun4u-sparcv9-64bits.bin -V
scsiinfo ver 4.7.0.15 $Id: patchlevel.h,v 1.10 2004/10/19 09:59:21 root Exp $
Compiled for SunOS 5.9: ESP PTISP ISP FAS GLM PLN QUS MPT QLC 64BIT NOTCH
FORMAT

I'm including binaries in the distribution because it will mostly likely be
harder and harder in the future for people to rebuild scsiinfo on their target
OS as SUN appears to consider that the qus, qlc and mpt drivers (most notably
their header files) are still subject to API changes. As a result, if you don't
have the correct packages -AND- the correct minimum patch level, it is likely
you won't be able to rebuild this scsiinfo version successfully.

Thanks for reading....
