Hi,
I recently installed "lsof" to look at the file descriptors used in a httpd
process
I came across this line in the output.

httpd 32479 root mem DEL 0,2 0 43253766
/SYSV00000000

Please let me know what does this line exactly means.

hhmmm... and can this be a reason for malfunctioning of http server.
Actually for some requests(POST), https server just hangs on to them till
client times out.
and this happens at random intervals.

Thanks,
Ashish
