Solaris 8 dtlogin to another Solaris 8 box hangs

Hi,

I used to use dtlogin to login from one Solaris 8 box (a) to another
(b). Recently this is stopped working. Using the Solaris login interface
on (a) I select the remote node (b). But the moment I enter the name
of the remote node the screen flashes white then black and it hangs
showing the hour glass cursor icon.

Before attempting to login the node (a) has a "dtlogin" and "dtgreet"
processes active. Once node (a) has hung all I see is a process called
"fbconsole". The node (b) meanwhile lists no relevant processes before
the login attempt and "dtlogin", "Xsetup" and "xset" once (a) has hung.

Is there a document or web site somewhere that explains what is going on?

I suspect that I may have done something to the config of dtlogin to
cause the problem myself. But for the life of me, I cant figure out
what. I was probably trying to improve security. I need some ideas on
how I can debug or trace what is happening and fix the problem.

Please note this used to work. Ping etc and all the r-commands work fine.
