Hi admins ,

i'm trying to use a Custom Solaris Jumpstart configuration
to Install a new Solaris 9 OS on a Sun Ultra 10.
I've managed to config all the files (rules, sysidcfg, profile) and start
the installtion handsfree .

but when the package installation is done , the systems stops and and
error message is shown -after trying to update the /etc/vfstab and
/etc/hosts file - it prints that it cannot access the /etc/hosts file and
prints out the message : "installation failed".
(the vfstab & hosts files werent updated).
after this messeage the installation process is stopped and it is not
continued to the finish script that has been defined in the rules file.

i want to mention that there is no possilbe access to /etc/hosts since
the root fs in located on /a/ during a jumpstart installation.

anyone know the source of this problem ?

thank you.
