UID Issue with NIS+ Table lookup

Good afternoon,

NIS+ Server issue:

We have a problem with one person's particular UID which is 328

The username say "jsmith" owns 328

The acct has been around and used for years and working just fine.

Suddenly, the acct jsmith can no longer query the nisplus tables:

jsmith$ niscat passwd.org_dir
passwds: NIS+ servers unreachable.

As a result, if the user types: "id -a jsmith" the output is just the uid/gid #s and now cooresponding nisplus username and group names

However, root, and all other users can query the nisplus tables without any problem.

I've gone as far as deleting his acct, updating nisplus, then recreating his acct with creds..etc.

The same thing happens with UID 328. If I give the acct another UID everything is ok.
Assigning another UID isn't an option to resolve the problem. Something is messed up
with UID 328's permissions to access the nisplus tables.

At one point in the game, all other NIS+ client and/or replica servers worked ok for the user jsmith. However, after playing around
suddenly all the servers were failing for UID 328 to access the nisplus tables.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan
