dump device and memory size

Hello,

Does the savecore dump the whole physical memory to the dump device? I have
a server with 4g memory but the dump device (a swap partition) is only 2g.

savecore -L doesn't seem to have a problem and dumped around a 500m vmcore
in the savecore directory.
