LD_LIBRARY_PATH not being used

I am banging my head here.

I have a binary which needs specific libraries (identified using ldd
command), and they are in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH for the shell. Two libraries
are not being sourced. It appears the program is not able to read the
libraries for some reason.

I have created a link to the two libraries in /usr/lib - but they still
won't read one of the two libraries.

TIA
-Andrew S
