hello all,
i'm using dhcpmgr on solaris 9 without problem.
But under solaris 8, if we launch dhcpmgr on a remote host, we can't use
it, window is something like "blank".
I suspect java, because on solaris 8, java is 1.2
i try to modify script dhcpmgr to use java 1.4:
ary2-root% diff /usr/sadm/admin/bin/dhcpmgr.orig /usr/sadm/admin/bin/dhcpmgr
23c23
< exec /usr/java1.2/bin/java -DDHCPBEANSDIR=${DMDIR}
com.sun.dhcpmgr.client.DhcpmgrApplet
--- > exec /usr/j2se/bin/java -DDHCPBEANSDIR=${DMDIR} com.sun.dhcpmgr.client.DhcpmgrApplet and now, i can use dhcpmgr from a remote host, display is ok but anybody knows another solution? is there a patch for it? why sun don't correct it? all my machines have the latest cluster of recommended patches for solaris and java. Thanks for help, gerard henry _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagers
