Solaris Package Management

Hi, I am in the process of building a lab from scratch, so I have the
"once in a lifetime" (tm) chance to start the whole system from scratch
with no legacy.

I was wondering what the other sunmanagers out there are doing for
package management on a Solaris server/workstation network? I know
about sunfreeware and their packages, and the Sun supplied GNU packages
and all of those, but those are fairly lacking in some of the features
that I have using Linux, like debian's apt-get or gentoo's portage, and
I was wondering if there were any ports of these, or any other package
systems that worked similarly?

Optimally, I'd love to just tell my test workstation to update itself
to the latest packages, test it, then deploy the changes across the
network, or add a package similarly, without needing to manually
satisfy all the dependancies, or search out the latest version of every
installed package.

Thanks, I will summarize.
