I would like to use the cpio command to backup an Oracle database. Is
there any way to get around the cpio command's 2 GB file size limit?

Thanks.

Darryl

Subject: Sun Cluster / VM question

Hi, experts.
I have two clusters ( SC 2.2 ) runnig with Volume Manager 3.0.4.
In one of the clusters, the command vxdisk list (from both nodes )
shows
all disks online. However, the same command in the other cluster, show a

particular disk group as "error" in one of the nodes and "online" in the

other.
I suppose it has to do with the ownership of the disk groups by the
logical
host, but teh behaviour should be the same in both clusters, cause both
has
logical hosts mastered by one node.
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance.
Ana Estuardo.
