Settings for Gigabit

At some point, I searched Google, and came up with a link that setting the
adv_pause ability on, would speed the throughput of a gigabit link. Since
then (last week) I can not find that link.

I am writing NFS over fiber crossover to a second system that has a 6320
attached.

(writing system) ge0 --> fiber --> ge0 (nfs host system) HBA --> fiber -->
6320

I am seeing between 37 and 45 megabyte write to the NFS mount.

Is this reasonable? With gigE between servers, and gigabit fiber to the
6320, should we see better throughput?
