Hi,
I try to setup 2 SunRay Servers and 1 Windows 2003 Server - Server at a
school in Germany.
I wouldlike to authenticate alls the users against the Sun Directory
Server 5.2.
I saw, that this Directory Server has objectclass "nt-user" and am now
wondering what that offers.
My opinion has been that I additionally need a aSamba Server and then a
Samba scheme for the Directory Server. Is this true?
I'd need to know which Packages/Tools/Products I need to - easily at
best case - come up with a concept like this:
o Directory Server 5.2 on a Sun fire V440 Solaris 9
o SunRay Server Software on 2 V440 Solaris 9
o Windows 2003 Server on Sun V65
o authentication against DS 5.2
-> which pam-Modules to use,
-> the bundled ones?
-> pam-ldap?
-> do I need nss_ldap when nscd is running?
o DS 5.2 machine needs to become a PDC
-> do I need Samba?
-> which version?
-> any package which can do it right out of the "box"?
o which scheme to use in DS 5.2?
-> objectclass "sambaAccount" -> wher do I get it from?
-> objectclass "nt-user" -> sufficient?
If anybody can give me a hint, thanks in advance.
best regards
