LTO2 restore problem

Hi All,

I have tried to restore a file system backup from Fujitsu PP650 server
(Solaris 8) into E10K (Solaris 7) by using the LTO2 tape. Before we
perform this operation, we have changed the st.conf and also apply the
patches 107460-14 on E10K server. However, we cannot restore the files
from the LTO2 tape by using the following tar command :

root@hkgloss10:/dev/rmt> /usr/local/bin/tar -b16834 -t -v -f /dev/rmt/4cbn
/usr/local/bin/tar: Read error on /dev/rmt/4cbn: Not enough space
/usr/local/bin/tar: At beginning of tape, quitting now
/usr/local/bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

We try to show the tape status and the output is different from that on
PP650 server.

E10K Output :
root@hkgloss10:/dev/rmt> mt -f /dev/rmt/4cbn status
Vendor 'HP ' Product 'Ultrium 2-SCSI ' tape drive:
sense key(0x0)= No Additional Sense residual= 0 retries= 0
file no= 3 block no= 1

PP650 Output :
root@hkgloss5:/export/home/root> mt -f /dev/rmt/1cbn status
HP Ultrium LTO 2 tape drive:
sense key(0x0)= No Additional Sense residual= 0 retries= 0
file no= 4 block no= 0

Thanks for all of your kindly attention.

Best Regards,
Henry Chang
