Hi All,

I am using Solaris 8 and Disk Suite 4.2 is installed.

When i checked my data volume by du -ks and df -k command i found very high difference between output of both command.

I checked the inodes, it dosent have any inode without files on file system. I used icheck.sh scripts which is avilable on sunsolve.sun.com. Also checked the archive but didnt got the solution for this.

Any clues what can be the reason.

Output of the commands is as follows.

# du -ks /data

2263068 /data

This tells data is of around 2GB

# df -k

/dev/md/dsk/d70 21686456 9665542 11804050 46% /data

this says data is around 9GB

Thanks & Regards,

Vijay
