Dear Octave,
I am having identical problems with identical disks.
Management purchased some Seagate Cheetah ST3146807LW's and the label reads
OEM146LW-10.
Seagate Seatools reports the vendor as CSC146GB.
Would you happen to know who the OEM is for these disks? I have been unable
to track down the OEM so far. I know that Seagate has a time out issue for
these particular drives and has made a firmware modification.
However, the firmware cannot be applied to an OEM drive. It is necessary to
contact the OEM for the patch.
If you could help me identify the OEM then I will be glad to do the rest of
the work and send you the information on flashing the drives.
I would appreciate your reply.
