Dear all
First of all it little dump question to share tape drive with NFS . NFS is
nothing do it how ever u can use
Tape drive by using .rhosts and /etc/hosts.equiv
i was wrongly using .rlogin instead of .rhosts now all is working fine

Dear all
i am facing problem sharing solaris Tape drive through nfs here lines which i
have put in /etc/dfs/dfstab
share -F nfs -o root=mx1 /dev/rmt/0
then /etc/init.d/nfs.server start
Client machine is linux . when i share other scsi disk all works fine . here
is error message
[root@server root]# dump -0u -f ns3.mydomain.com:/dev/rmt/0 /var/spool/mail/
DUMP: permission denied
DUMP: login to ns3.mydomain.com as root failed.
i have put entry in /.rlogin in solaris to allow access
but this dont work . rlogin still ask for password what i am missing
