ftp'ing files to multiple machines at once.

Hello Guru's
I setup a common user account on all our SUN
machines with the same name and wrote a script which
will ftp a given file to all the machines without
prompting for password. But that transfered file
permissions need to be executable. And now the file
being transfered is a script I need to login again
into each system to change the permissions of the
file. Is there a way I can avoid this. Also if the
file transfered is crontab file then can I submit same
cronjobs using crontab file in all the machines with
same user.

Thank you,
Sreenath.
