how to install double-boot Sol8 and Sol9 on one disk

Hello sunmanagers,

How can I install Solaris 8 and Solaris 9 (dual-boot)
on a sparc with only one disk ?

I tried this, and it didn't work for me:
1) I installed Sol9 on half-of-disk partition, leaving space for 2nd
Solaris partition
2) I started to install Solaris 8. There was a choice "1) Clean Install
2) Upgrade";
I choose 1) clean install, then "no" to disk formatting.
But the 2nd installation overwrote the partition table and
removed the 1st Solaris.

What is the trick to install 2nd Solaris on the next partition
without overwriting Solaris on 1st partition ?
