I can't find anything in the archives more recent than 1999, so let's
open this up for discussion again:

How do you lay out filesystems on a new server (Sun HW, in my case)
running a fresh install of Solaris 8? Why do you choose the
configuration you do? Lastly, does Sun have any recommended best
practices other than "put everything in one big / FS"?

I'm new to Solaris 8 (I last worked on Suns a lot when 2.6 was coming
out), so I'd like to find out if there are good reasons to change my
old preferences for how to allocate disk space for a boot disk in, as
I said, a fresh installation.

thanks, all!
