Hi Sun Managers

I start with "rsh" the script "restart.sh" on the remote host
"server2".

        rsh server2 -l user restart.sh

In this script there is a command startet with nohup like "nohup
/etc/init.d/go.sh &".
(Without "nohup" the demon in "/etc/init.d/go.sh" dies after exit.)
Normally the command "nohup" sends the message "Sending output to
nohup.out" and the demon works fine.
But when the script is started with "rsh" then "nohup" does not work.
The nohup is ignored and the prompt never comes back.
After ctrl-c the prompt is back but the demon dies!

Why "nohup" dosen't work in this mode?
