Sun Ray 1 DHCP problem

Hi, i have installed and configured Sun Ray Server Software 2.0 on my
Ultra 5, everything went smoothly.
And i have Sun Ray 1 (they are w/ old firmware, were ordered two years
ago) connected directly to the ultra 5 via cross-over cable.
The problem is that Sun Ray does not boot, i am stuck w/ hour glass icon
w/ two bars beneath it (meaning POST is passed, and it is negotiating
DHCP?). When i snoop the traffic here's what i get (192.168.30.1 is SRSS):

BROADCAST -> (broadcast) RARP C Who is 8:0:20:f8:11:43 ?
BROADCAST -> (broadcast) RARP C Who is 8:0:20:f8:11:43 ?
OLD-BROADCAST -> BROADCAST DHCP/BOOTP DHCPDISCOVER
OLD-BROADCAST -> BROADCAST DHCP/BOOTP DHCPDISCOVER
192.168.30.1 -> 224.101.101.101 UDP D=7009 S=7009 LEN=253
OLD-BROADCAST -> BROADCAST DHCP/BOOTP DHCPDISCOVER
OLD-BROADCAST -> BROADCAST DHCP/BOOTP DHCPDISCOVER
192.168.30.1 -> 224.101.101.101 UDP D=7009 S=7009 LEN=253
192.168.30.1 -> (broadcast) ARP C Who is 192.168.30.7, 192.168.30.7 ?
192.168.30.1 -> (broadcast) ARP C Who is 192.168.30.7, 192.168.30.7 ?
192.168.30.1 -> (broadcast) ARP C Who is 192.168.30.7, 192.168.30.7 ?
OLD-BROADCAST -> BROADCAST DHCP/BOOTP DHCPDISCOVER
192.168.30.1 -> (broadcast) ARP C Who is 192.168.30.7, 192.168.30.7 ?
192.168.30.1 -> (broadcast) ARP C Who is 192.168.30.7, 192.168.30.7 ?
192.168.30.1 -> (broadcast) ARP C Who is 192.168.30.7, 192.168.30.7 ?
192.168.30.1 -> 224.101.101.101 UDP D=7009 S=7009 LEN=253

So if i understand correctly it tired to allocate .20.7 IP to the sun ray,
but it ignores it?
Or server never sends the DHCP reply? (i've been looking at snoop logs and
haven't found anything). Though in.dhcp says it received reply:
40eb880b: Datagram received on network device: hme0(limited broadcast)

I have found following: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/users/sjm217/projects/sunray/
However according to that source it should take about 32 sec. and in my
case it hase been standing like that for an hour.

I am thinking that the problem may be because of old firmware on sun ray ?
If so is there a way to update it? (i am unable to do so throught the
utfsync)
Or the problem in my dhcp configuration?

Any suggestions for causes and fixes would be highly appreciated.
