Wiping a disk

I'm sending a disk off for replacement and we want to make sure there is
NO data on the disk. Ideal I'd like to just overwrite it with
/dev/random a time or two. What's the best way to make sure the whole
disk is overwriten, not just the first random number popped up.

:wq!
