Ufsdump commad -- /etc/dumpdates

Greetings all,

if i use ufsdump command to take the back up of
individual files,is this command will update the
/etc/dumpdates file.Os is Solaris8 and system is
e3500.I think this file will update only if we take
the backup of entire filesystem.

Command given is:

ufsdump 0uf /dev/rmt/0n /export/home/test

Pleae advice me on this.
