Dear all,

I have the NFS error message appearing in the messages file of a Solaris 8
system.

Jun 24 16:23:36 cham nfssrv: [ID 713913 kern.notice] NOTICE: nfs_server:
client josi (172.16.5.15) sent NFS request from unprivileged port
Jun 24 16:23:52 cham last message repeated 13 times

The client trying to connect is a Linux box:
Linux josi 2.4.2-13-p1-psmp-4g #2 SMP Wed May 15 10:14:24 PDT 2002 i686
unknown

On the Solaris box the kernel has been set to:
* NFS uses only priv. ports
set nfssrv:nfs_portmon = 1

Is there an equivilent option for the Linux box as I don't want NFS to use
non-priv., ports.

A summary will follow for this!

Regards,
Simon.
