Hi List,
1. i want to apply the Recommended Patch Cluster to my Cluster nodes. I plan
to take one node to single
user mode at a time and then patch it. Is there anything wrong with that? In
general are there any
risks with applying the recommended patches to SC machines?
2. Planning to run RAC on our SC 3.1 machines. The oracle docs are
indifferent
on wether or not one
needs a volume manager; only information i have found is that IF i use a
volume manager it has to be
veritas, not disksuite. Regarding wether or not i can just use hardware raid,
i have found contradictional stuff. So i wouold like ot know what people
actually use in real life setups. i.e.,
is anyone running Oracle RAC, and if so: how is the logical storage access
realized?
