Greetings,

I wish to have console access on my solaris x86 boxes. I wish to
accomplish two things:

1. Get console login via ttya when the machine is up.
2. Get the boot messages displayed via the console

I have attempted to change the input and output devices in the eeprom to
''ttya' to accomplish #2, but if I do I get the following on my console
and the box never boots:

Select (b)oot or (i)nterpreter:
SunOS Release 5.8 Version Generic_108529-01 32-bit
Copyright 1983-2000 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved.

I have to go in and interrupt the boot sequence and reset the device to
the keyboard/monitor and save and reboot. Once this occurs I no longer
have a login prompt on my serial console after the box is up.

Can anyone provide me with some insight on what I might be doing wrong?

Drew
