Gretings from Mexico City Eric...

You can try this:

Chek the crontab in order to prevent there's a cron programed to
shutdown the E440.
Check the power.conf file, under /etc and verify that the line shows
something like this:

autopm default
# Auto-Shutdown Idle(min) Start/Finish(hh:mm) Behavior
autoshutdown 30 9:00 9:00
        noshutdown
statefile /usr/.CPR

If looks diferent you most edit the line "autoshutdown" and in
"Behavior" you set to the "noshutdown" mode.

One more thing yoy can do is check de OBP enviroment, usin eeprom you
check the auto_boot? and the security-mode variables, the auto_boot?
must set in true and the security-mode must set in none, this makes the
box boot automaticly. Unfortunly, you only change the security-mode
value on ok prmopt.

I hope this can help you.
