Hi All Guru,
This question related to Informix database restore on Solaris 7 Sparc base
server.
I have a backup of DDS4 tape for Informix database on Sun E-4500 Solaris 7
with 4.0GB RAM, using Sun DDS4 tape drive.
When I use the backup tape to restore the db on Sun Ultra 60 with 1.0 GB
RAM, using Sony DDS4 tape drive, system failed to read the tape. Error code
is 12.
Both system have a lot of swapspace, same value on the Informix onconfig
file.
However, when using the cookfile to backup and restore the database, It
works just fine. Any of you had this problem before? Your help is much
appreciated. Thanks.
