Hi,
I have two machines installed Veritas Volume Replicator 3.5 on
Sun solaris 8. I need to install patch on both of them (primary and
secondary).
The patch is a kernel patch and I need to install it in single-user mode. If
I
take the system
to single-user mode, would it be any problem in VVR after
I take the system to the run-level 3 after patch installation?
Is there any procedure to overcome this task? I have not found any document
pointed the issue (patching primary and secondary). The application not need
to
run during the patch installation. So I do not migrate the primary role to
the
other while patching the primary system. I think, under this conditions, I
can
take the systems to tsingle-user mode to install path without making any
configuration settings in the vvr. Is this correct? Or I need to do some
steps
before the patch installation?
