Question was:
I try installing KDE from
http://wwws.sun.com/software/solaris/freeware/s9pkgs_download.html
on a Solaris 9 Blade 150.
When login with 'KDE desktop', it fails.
I found that I have one missing library: libXrender.so.1
Where can I find it?
Is there somewhere a roadmap explaining KDE installation
on an "out of the box" Solaris 9? It's not obvious...
Thanks to:
Gene Siepka : look on Sun's BigAdmin website for a roadmap.
Sean McKay : try http://www.blastwave.org/packages.php/libxrender
Gerard Henry : look in Sun database for "Document ID: 4979378"
Valeriy Glinskiy : it is available on Solaris9 update 5, package SUNWxwplt
I solved my problem using:
render_dev-0.8,REV=2004.03.30-SunOS5.8-all-CSW.pkg.gz
libxrender-0.8.3,REV=2004.03.31-SunOS5.8-sparc-CSW.pkg.gz
common-1.4.1-SunOS5.8-sparc-CSW.pkg.gz
available from http://mirrors.sunsite.dk/csw/unstable/sparc/5.8,
a link I got via http://www.blastwave.org/packages.php/libxrender
