Summary: rsync on Solaris with large files

Dear managers,

thanks to all that responded (too many to list). It was recommended to
rebuild rsync with 64 bit options. Others suggested to install a recent
version of rsync. I was using 3.1.2. After upgrading to 3.6.2 from
sunfreeware.com and installing libpopt (required by rsync now) on both
machines all worked well again also for files larger than 2GByte.

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

   Andreas
