hello,

I have problem with SUN UE10K connecting to SAN disks.
The environtment is as follow;

- SUN UE10K
- SunOS 2.6
- 2 HBA card: Emulex LP9002S-E
- HBA driver: v5.02c
- Firmware: v3.92a2
- FCode: v2.41a5

- EMC Symmetrix 8530
- PowerPath
- Veritas volume manager
- No FC switch, direct connection

During the installation process, There was no problem connecting the SUN
E10K to the SAN disks by using two HBA LP9002S-E.

However, I noticed that the server does not automatically recognise the SAN
disks and connect them to E10K during a normal startup (initiated by a <init
6> at runlevel 3 or a <boot> at the ok prompt)
After bootup, the SAN disks are not available until the <format> command is
manually invoked.

The server can discover and connecting to the SAN disks if I reboot the
server by reboot -- -r or a <boot -r> at the ok prommpt.

Does anyone know this problem?

thanks.

regards,
roni subrata
