  Hi,

I would like to use Solaris 9/x86 HW:04/03 on my x86 platforms.
My platform uses Adaptec 7902 chipset. During the initial installation,
the OS cannot see the disks. So, the OS can not be installed. I have
looked at HCL on the WEB to
see whether the chipset is supported or not. The web site I looked at is
the following.
http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/9/components/views/disk_controller.html
There is none about my chipset. However, I think V65X system uses the
same chipset and
I can install Solaris 9 HW:9/03 on it. May the problem relate to the low
level HW revision of OS?
I can use Oracle with Solaris x86 because I beleive that oracle run with
Solaris very efficiently.
is there anyone to install Solaris 9/x86 on this chipset on x86
platform. if I am sure that higher level of OS is okay, I would purchase
it. However, I cannot be sure if it will be okay.
I have found the following information from docs.sun.com

"adpu320(7D)
DESCRIPTION
The adpu320 host bus adapter driver is a SCSA-compliant nexus driver
that supports the following Adaptec Ultra320 SCSI Devices:

Chips

    AIC-7902

"

I would like to know whether there is anyway to install Solaris 9
HW:04/03 or higher on X86
platform with this chipset? where can I find the driver for this chipset
on Solaris 9 x86 platform?

Best regards,

Asiye Yigit
