Hello,
I recently downgraded from Windows XP to Windows ME a
SunPCI II card (Celeron 733/384 Mb) -- because it really
was unusable (as in too slow).
Now, it is livable, however, there is a small glitch.
When I shutdown Windows (start menu->shutdown) I
do not get any message of the form 'It is now safe to
power off windows)', consequently sometimes I exit
the suncpi card to soon, and consequently windows
has to check the image when it reboots.
I am running SunPCI II 2.3.2 software, with the
patch 113616-05, on a SunBlade 150 workstation
running Solaris 9.
My Windows ME image is upto date in terms of patches.
I tried creating logos.sys and logw.sys, but it
does not help.
I don't seem to be the only one having this problem,
I saw a web site where the administrator was
recommending waiting 30 to 60 seconds before
doing the final exit.
I'd love to know if someone has found a fix for that,
or a way around.
Many thanks,
Marcel
