converting from a 6 sliced to a 3sliced configuration on the OS disk

I have a Solaris 8 box which currently has 6 slices
e.g.
slice 0 root
slice 1 swap
slice 3 usr
slice 4 var
slice 5 opt
slice 6 home
 
I need to convert it into a 3 sliced configuration viz.
 
slice 0 root (usr, var and opt)
slice 1 swap
slice 3 home.
 
Can anybody suggest a way of getting this done i.e combining root, usr, var and opt onto a single slice ?
