SAN disk device reserved flag

Had an interesting problem crop up the other day. We use IBM FastT storage
connected to Solaris/AIX/Linux. The SAN folks put one of the hosts in the
wrong host group and one of the AIX boxes grabbed a drive that was in use on
one of the Solaris boxes. In doing so, it set the disk reserved bit on the
FastT and we had to clear that flag before Solaris would allow use of the
LUN again.

So, the question is (and SunService could not come up with an answer) how do
I get Solaris to set this flag to allow it exclusive use of the LUNs
assigned to it?

BTW, there is no clustering/HA software involved (on either system).

Thanks in advance,

mike
