Tape drive Configuration

Hi

I am using Sun StorEdge DDS-4 tape drive attached to 2 servers .

Previously I used to take backup using same tape drive on both servers but now I am getting below error and not able to see tape drive when run iostat -E .I rebooted machine with boot -r but no result.

If I do mt f /dev/rmt/0 status I am not getting error no file found.

Any suggestion how to configure tape drive without rebooting Machine (Solaris 8).

ltipath capabilities are disabled through driver configuration file.
