Fellow put-upon sysadmins:
I have an odd error: I'm trying to run cron on solaris 8 on an ultra-2
system, and as soon as cron tries to run a job, it dies. truss doesn't
give any real indication for this premature death, and the same script
is run on another U2 without a problem.
Has anyone seen this behavior, and, if so, is there a known solution?
I've tried the obvious (googling, sunmanagers, bigadmin) and haven't
seen anything.
Of course I'll post a summary to the list.
