According to SUN Blueprints Boot Disk Management it is not possible to enable
logging on the root (/) filesystem. However I went and added it as an option
in /etc/vfstab for / anyway. Interestingly, the mount command lists / as using
the logging option. Is mount lying to me or is logging actually enabled?
On a related note, is it possible to use logging with DiskSuite? I'm thinking
of situations where the system goes down hard such as power cutting out which
could leave both slices in a mirrorset with a corrupt filesystem.
Using final Solaris 8 hardware release and the 4/04 Solaris 9 hardware
release.
Thanks in advance!
