hello everybody,
I am having a problem with Sun V880 server. The System
has a Sun stor edge PCI dual ultra3 scsi controller on
which i have a LTO drive(200/400 gb) is connected
externally. The system recognizes the LTO drive as
Ultrium drive at OK prompt. But if i do a boot -r it
does not create the device files under /dev/rmt
directory.

Even devfsadm -i st fails to configure the drive.I
have gone through the release notes on the WEB which
says that i need to load drivers SUNWqus,SUNWqusx and
SUNWqusux drivers which i have done.I have also
loaded recommended patches and also PATCH number
112697-04.Inspite of this the device fails to get
recognized.

The command devfsdam -i st throws the following error:
driver failed to attach st Any body has faced this
problem.Pls help

Thanks
rao
