OFF TOPIC - Inel Solaris 8 and Acroread

Sorry for the off topic, but I can't find any other group of people that may
be able to help.

I've got clients that ftp pdf files to my anonymous ftp site. My Intel
Solaris 8 shell script processes these pdf files and converts them to
postscript which in turns sends the job to a postscript printer.

The problem is that sometimes my clients will use a software package like
JawsPDF Creator to create their pdf files. I can convert these files to
postscript without errors, but for some reason I can't print them. Sometimes
one page will print, sometimes no pages will print. It doesn't seem to be
consistent.

Could the problem be with my lp model file? Maybe some code in my model file
is tripping up the print job.

I'm using acroread 4, because as for as I know acroread 5 isn't available for
x86 Solaris.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?

Many thanks, and sorry for the off topic post.

John
