Ftp login - home directory problem.

Hello gurus,

I have a problem.I have a normal userid and i have created a directory in
the /home/xyz/x111 file system where i have kept some files which i need
others also to access as normal users.I need a virtual link to that
particular directory.I need to ftp files from the above mentioned directory
from any machine.I login in ftp as the user-id x111.But i cannot move into
home directory there after.if i type pwd it shows that i am in " / " instead
of the home directory.

Please sugesst me.
