Dear managers,

we decided to check out Sun Ray Server and Sun Ray Thin Clients. We
installed Solaris 9 on a Sunblade 100, then the Sun Ray Server Software
Version 2.0 - following the installation guide - and then plugged a
Sun Ray 1G into our 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 network. The power light
gets green, on the screen appears the MAC address icon and stays there.
Nothing else happens. We have configured as follows:

Interface: eri0
Host address: 192.168.1.10
Net mask: 255.255.255.0
Net Address: 192.168.1.0
Host name: sunblade
First Sun Ray Appliance: 192.168.1.100
Number of appliances: 16
Firmware Server: 192.168.1.10
Router: 192.168.1.1
Specify altern. list: no
Admin password: xxx
Admin Server Port: 1660
CGI username utwww
Enable remote Admin: yes
Enable SSL no

Configure Sun Ray Interconnect interface

        cd /opt/SUNWut/sbin
        ./utadm -a eri0

Configure Sun Ray Server on a LAN

        cd /opt/SUNWut/sbin
        ./utadm -A 192.168.1.0

Configuring Sun Ray Server Software

        cd /opt/SUNWut/sbin
        ./utconfig

Synchronize Sun Ray Applicance Firmware

        cd /opt/SUNWut/sbin
        ./utfwsync

Reboot Sun Ray Server

        sync;sync;init 6

How do we proceed from here? Hints are greatly appreciated! Thanks a
lot in advance!

Regards,

    Andreas
