Hi all,
I am new to sun managers group. We have few production servers. If there is a crash can I boot system into single user mode using a cdrom and run fsck on all the disks on the systems. So that when I reboot it wont go into single user mode

and refuse to run fsck on mounted root partition. We may be able to run fsck from maintenance mode(ctld-d to enter single user mode). But the procdure I mentioned would not give any problems.

How safe is this procedure? Will there be any loss of data due to this procedure. Please give your comments.

Thank you

Sree.
